Symptoms: 

· Fiddler traffic stalls at cdn.prosystemfx.com

· Document server update progress meter stalls indefinitely at 2 bars

Cause:  Sonicwall Gateway Antivirus detects setup.exe from cdn.prosystemfx.com as a Trojan and stops download of update

To confirm:

1. Log into Sonicwall, select Dashboard --> Log Monitor

2. Apply Destination IP filter on all interfaces with IP:  93.184.215.200 (IP of cdn.prosystemfx.com) or search log entries for blocks (highlighted in yellow)

 

3. Look for  log entry: 

"Alert Security Services Gateway Anti-Virus Alert: BundleInstaller.F (Trojan) blocked."

Workaround:

1. On Sonicwall go to Security Services --> Gateway Anti-Virus

 

2. Choose Configure Gateway AV Settings


3. Add an IP address (IPs only, no hostnames) to the Gateway AV Exclusion List

 

4. Enable Gateway AV Exclusion List if it doesn't get enabled by default after adding the entry

5. Click OK to confirm changes

6. Click Accept on the Gateway Antivirus page

NOTE: As of 7/29/2014, a False Positive request was submitted to Dell Sonicwall support under ticket # 03083693
